David is an experienced financial manager, entrepreneur and parent. He is a co-founder of several internet travel planning web sites, and was the head of M&A at ECI Telecom. Previously, he had several investment banking positions in New York. He is also on the board of directors of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, and of Rimon Village, a community for adults with special needs. David holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business. He lives in Ra'anana, Israel.
Daphna is a parent and an educational psychologist who serves as head of the Learning Disabilities Center at Schneider Children's Medical Center in Petah Tikva, Israel. She also works extensively with the Ministry of Education. She holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University. She lives in Herzliya, Israel.
Hannah is a parent and as pecialist in early childhood education. She is the founder of ABC and Beyond, a center for early-childhood English enrichment with over 200 students. Tova is a parent and a elementary school teacher. She has taught at the Magen School in Tel Aviv, a specialty school for advanced language studies, and in Los Angeles at Maimonides Academy, Stephen Wise Elementary School, and the Pressman Academy. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and English Literature from Queens College in New York.
Mel is the Director of Bringing Up Minds, a non-profit program to inform and equip parents with the latest knowledge about brain functions. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including A Pediatric Approach to Learning Disorders, A Mind at a Time, which was number one on the New York Times bestseller list and The Myth of Laziness. He is the co-founder of All Kinds of Minds where he initiated the Schools Attuned™ program. He was Director of The Clinical Center for the Study of Development and Learning at the University of North Carolina, where he continues to be a Professor of Pediatrics. He also served as Chief of the Division of Ambulatory Pediatrics at The Children's Hospital in Boston at which time he was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Harvard Medical School. He graduated summa cum laude from Brown University and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford in England. He later graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his pediatric training at The Children's Hospital in Boston.
Doron is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, and is the director of Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinics and director of research at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel. He was previously at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed original articles on behavioral neurogentic syndromes, ADHD, and psychiatric medications.
Varda is a parent and is a Speech and Language Pathologist specializing in childhood communication, speech and language disorders and language learning disabilities. She is a regional supervisor of the Speech and Language Pathology Department of the Ministry of Education, and is a also lecturer at Gordon College of Education in Haifa and Seminar HaKibbutzim College of Education in Tel Aviv. She holds an M.A. from Tel Aviv University and lives in Ra’anana.
Chanah is a parent and a Clinical Child Psychologist, and is the Chairperson of the Jerusalem Council for Children and Youth, a child advocacy NGO creating projects to fill gaps in service system and act as community change agent. She has also worked with the Jerusalem School Psychological Services as child therapy supervisor, was a psychologist in a school for children with C.P., and has been in private practice as a psychotherapist. Paul is a parent and the Director of The Yellin Center for Student Success, a New York City-based clinical organization dedicated to helping struggling students experience genuine success in school and in life. He is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at New York University School of Medicine. Previously, he served as National Director of the Student Success Program at the not-for-profit All Kinds of Minds Institute. Beth is a parent and is the founder of Success in Mind, a student success center in Durham, N.C. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics at UNC-Chapel Hill Medical School. Previously, she was the Chief Clinical Officer of the All Kinds of Minds® Student Success Program™, was Medical Director of CIGNA Medical Group in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to her position at CIGNA, and was the Chief of Pediatrics at the Medford Center of the Harvard Community Health Plan in Medford, Massachusetts. Beth received her BA from The Johns Hopkins University and her MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She did her internship, residency, and fellowship at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston and is a board certified pediatrician.
Michal is a parent and is the Director of the Education Department of the Municipality of Ra'anana. She was previously a junior high school principal in Kochav Yair. She holds a B.Ed. and and M.Ed. from Bar Ilan University. She lives in Ra'anana.
Ziva Schapiro
Ziva is a parent and the founder of Mercaz Rakefet --Ligdol V’lifroach Child and Family Services which provides therapeutic and educational enrichment services to over 400 children with varying levels of developmental challenges. Ziva graduated from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center program in Occupational Therapy. Ziva has written articles and lectured extensively on sensory processing dysfunction and parental involvement in educational settings. She lives in Beit Shemesh, Israel.
